• At the core of our service offering, are our crisis cafes. Here we provide a safe place for people to come and chat to us over a cup of tea, and we will signpost them to relevant supports after learning more about why they came to us in the first place.

Our Crisis Centres/Cafes are the first line of defence when it comes to suicide prevention. We open from 8pm in the evening on a Friday and Saturday night until 1am (Limerick) or 2am (Ennis (Saturday night only)). This is because 11pm at night is now the most prevalent time for someone to take their own life in Ireland.

We have a team of counsellors who are finishing up their college courses and come to us to gain experience. We will pair you with these counsellors for a period of 8 weeks after you come see us in the Crisis Centre. Your counsellor will speak with you on topics that you want to talk about. Our counsellors come from all walks of life and have a wide range of life experience. They are available to support you through your difficult time.

To avail of this service, you first need to connect with our team, either over the phone or in person in the Crisis Centre. Once the team establishes your need for follow-up counselling, they will pass your details to the Follow-Up Co-Ordinator, who will reach out to you and connect you with a counsellor directly.
